Under general supervision of the Quality Supervisor, this position is responsible for the cleaning and finishing of the product. The ability to inspect the finished product is necessary for success.

Essential Functions

  • Oversee equipment used to clean and finish the product before inspection
  • Use inspection equipment such as calipers, micrometers and indicators to properly measure part size
  • Maintain quality levels set forth by the Quality Assurance Department to meet customer expectations
  • Interpret and communicate all daily manufacturing paperwork
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • One or more years of experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
  • Certification for fork truck operation
  • Ability to work 12-hour days (5:00 am to 5:00 pm) Friday through Sunday with additional hours as needed

Journeyman Tool And Die Maker – 2nd Shift

Under general supervision of the Tool & Die Group Leader, this position is responsible to set up and operate engine lathers, milling machines, drill presses, EDM as well as surface, cylindrical and tool grinders. The Journeyman Tool & Die Maker must be able to disassemble, diagnose, repair, grind, time and reassemble all dies.

Essential Functions

  • Trouble shoot production problems
  • Create new or replacement parts from samples and blueprints
  • Operate forklift and hoists
  • Train staff to achieve acceptable performance levels

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Obtain Indentured Journeyman Card
  • Perform all tasks outlined in the state indentured training program
  • Ability to work 10 hour days (3:00 pm to 1:00 am) Monday through Thursday with additional hours occasionally on Friday
